4000 Nivelo is a visual communication project inspired by a fictional country that exists high above the clouds, where the earth and sky converge. This land is defined by its unique geography, situated at the threshold of 4,000 meters above sea level.
Because the dwellers of this land are always high above the mountains, we decided to create a visual language that depicts the scene that people from this country sees throughout the day, the sky.
Capturing images from different moments of the day we created a set of graphic elements such as stamps that display both the time along with the National Day, known as "Day of Isolation", a book, a flag that is the ancient greek representation of the sun and a banknote where artificial intelligence was used to represent the appearance of the inhabitants of 4000 Nivelo.
As the sun sets behind snow-capped peaks and the stars emerge to illuminate the night sky,
travellers in 4000 nivelo find solace in the silence of the mountains, inspiration in the vastness of the wilderness, and a sense of belonging in a land where the only limits are those set by the sky itself.
The official language is esperanto.
Currently, more then 85 000 people are permanently leaving at 4000 meter over the sea. During summer,
almost 1 million of visitor came to 4000 nivelo.
The alchemical symbol for the sun
To the ancient Greeks, and other cultures besides, the sun was a golden chariot driven by the sun god, Apollo, across the sky each day. The Egyptian sun god Ra was depicted as a yellow blaze of gold. The Incas of South America believed gold to be the “sweat of the sun.”

Artificial intelligence was used to represent the appearance of the inhabitants of 4000 Nivelo, they are stewards of the land, custodians of its fragile ecosystems, and guardians of its spiritual legacy. They live in harmony with the mountains, honoring their power and majesty while striving to preserve their pristine beauty for generations to come.
